Better for our communities

We are helping children to get a better education

With finance and support from KPMG, the City of London KPMG Academy will open its doors in 2009. This will be a mixed and non–denominational school, with around 170 eleven year olds due to join in its first year. We have committed over £1 million and many hours of our time in the school. Environmental lessons from the construction of our new London headquarters are being applied to the building of the school – a ground source heat pump may be used to provide part of the Academy’s energy, for example.

We also support a range of other projects designed to improve education for children and young adults. Most notably these include the KPMG Foundation’s Every Child a Reader and Every Child Counts schemes, and many other examples of literacy and numeracy support work in schools.
