We are increasing loyalty through flexible working
Many more people now want to work flexibly to balance the demands of their career and the rest of their lives. We see this as a positive trend. We have accepted 98% of the 1,600 applications received since we launched a flexible working programme in 2004. About a quarter of applications are from men. In our experience, flexible working increases employees’ loyalty to the firm. We don’t ask why someone is applying; we simply look to ensure there will be no negative impact on clients, colleagues or the individual’s career potential.
