KPMG Networks: fast-growing communities within the firm
Networks are flourishing within KPMG, exploring common issues and opportunities, supported by the firm. Successful initiatives include:
- Islamic Society – held a number of successful events in 2007 for guests from inside and outside the firm.
- Women’s networks – being set up in Audit, Tax, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services and Risk Advisory Services.
- Quarterly breakfasts for leading women in business – run by KPMG UK Vice Chairman Ruth Anderson.
- Black Business Network – launched Project Vibe in 2007 to provide business mentoring and advice on a voluntary basis.
- Disability Forum – we are rolling out disability awareness training for our people management leaders and are publishing our first disability policy. We are also building in the highest standards of accessibility at our new headquarters building in Canary Wharf.
- Breathe is our lesbian, gay and bisexual network – KPMG is one of the ‘10 Best Employers for Gay People’, Stonewall Employers Index 2007.
- Jewish Life Society – held a variety of successful events including the sponsorship of a major Jewish charity.
