The launch of KPMG Europe LLP meant 2007 was a momentous year in our history. It also turned out to be a record one in terms of our performance. Now we’re looking ahead to 2008, which promises to be exciting in many different ways.

In October we merged our UK and German firms to create KPMG Europe LLP. Our Swiss colleagues have voted to join us in 2008 to form the largest integrated accountancy firm in Europe. Together we will have some 20,000 partners and employees, revenues approaching €4 billion and one of the finest client portfolios. We are the first in our profession to create a cross–border firm on this scale and we are unashamedly proud of our achievement.
There will be opportunities for others to join when they feel the time is right.
