KPMG Europe LLP demonstrates innovation in action. In an ever more complex, faster moving and globally connected business world, the merged firm will provide enormous benefits for our clients.
I want to be clear that KPMG Europe LLP is not just about being bigger; it’s about being better. For example, the Audit, Tax and Advisory practices within the merged firm operate as one business across borders. Overcoming the barriers that national borders have presented in the past means we can achieve more for clients.
The success of the merger will be judged on our effectiveness in attracting new clients and new assignments, exceeding the expectations of our current clients, and going on to set new standards of service and satisfaction. Our success in 2007 puts us in a strong position, and we go into the new year with a very ambitious growth agenda.
My colleagues in the UK are demonstrating their commitment to this area everyday through the application of their skills, determination and sheer hard work. We look forward to achieving even more working together with our German and Swiss colleagues in 2008.
