KPMG achieves highest status in Business in the Community's Corporate Responsibility Index
KPMG has been named as a Platinum business (highest level).
Run by Business in the Community, the CR Index is the UK’s leading benchmark of responsible business; now in its fifth year, the Index compiles information from questionnaires filled in by participating companies and covers four key impact areas (Community, Environment, Marketplace and Workplace) and captures the extent to which corporate responsibility is integrated into corporate strategy and translated into responsible practices throughout an organisation.
With a score of more than 95 percent, KPMG has been awarded this top tier recognition for our ongoing commitment to responsible business practices; the Firm has also achieved Platinum status in the Environment and newly introduced Community indices, which form part of the overall Index.
Ashley Steel, Board Sponsor of KPMG’s CSR Leadership Team said “We are delighted with this achievement and recognition - it reflects a concerted effort by the firm to embed the CR agenda in everything that we do – from how we work with our suppliers and clients to our commitment to good environmental management, community investment and diversity and equal opportunities”
More than 500 companies in the FTSE 100, FTSE 250, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and BitC member companies were invited to take part in the Index and KPMG is on the only business in our sector to have been included in the top 100 rankings since the Index launched.
