applicable occupational health and safety
legislation and offer a range of health,
safety and well-being related support
systems for our people and their visitors.
We aim to prevent
accidents and promote good heath, safety
and well-being by:
- Reducing health
and safety risks associated with our
business operations, as far as reasonably
practicable.
- Developing a health,
safety and well-being culture within
KPMG.
- Actively encouraging
and supporting communication on all
health, safety and well-being issues
within KPMG.
Our employee healthcare programme has
been set up to take a proactive, responsible
approach towards well-balanced and healthy
lifestyles for our people and is led by
our Head of People, Rachel Campbell.
The aim behind our programme is to
provide innovation and committed leadership
in the implementation and directions
of occupational health, well-being and
behavioural performance within KPMG;
with the firm intention to promote the
highest level of health and well-being
as a vital part of demonstrating values
and integrity to work-life balance.
We shall lead, manage and coordinate
a systematic approach to the managing
of potential risks and identify opportunities
for continuous improvement.

Health and Well-Being Manage Vision and Strategy
We set annual targets that are incorporated
into the KPMG business plan. The targets
are divided into six clear areas
of development within KPMG’s Health & Well-Being
Strategy focussing on:

In 2008 we aim to consolidate
and build on our already high standards
of health, safety and well-being and
our excellent record.
Accident reporting
Notice/Prosecutions
KPMG have received no breaches, notices, prosecutions or enforcement action during the past three years.
Awards
KPMG have obtained 7 consecutive
Gold Awards from Royal Society
for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)
for our health & safety management
system. We have also won an international
gold award (IVCA) for our health & safety
training and the British Safety Council
International Award for Safety.
