FRS - Be prepared

Implications of FRS102 conversion

In 2015, existing UK GAAP will cease to exist and will be replaced with an IFRS-based standard FRS 102 The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland. All institutions will be required to comply with the requirements of FRS102. The FRC's latest proposed timetable for the new financial reporting regime is that it should apply to accounting periods commencing on or after 1 January 2015, requiring a transition balance sheet for all institutions as early as 31 July 2014.
